Privacy policy

Kinword is made by YSY Labs ("we"). This page explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect little.

What we collect

• An account identifier. When you start, the app creates an account for you. If you continue as a guest it has no name or email attached. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identifier and email address those services share with us.
• Your learning progress. Lessons completed, XP, streaks, review card state and the settings you choose, so your progress survives a new phone.
• Purchases. If you subscribe, Apple or Google process the payment. We receive the subscription status (through RevenueCat) but never your card details.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.

Where it is stored

Progress and account data are stored on servers we operate in the European Union. Subscription status is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. as our processor. Reminders are scheduled on your device and do not go through our servers.

Why we use it

To run the app: save and sync your progress, unlock what you have paid for, and answer you when you write to support. The legal basis is performing our agreement with you.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Guest accounts that are never used again may be removed after 24 months of inactivity.

Your choices

• Delete your account any time from Me > Settings > Delete account. This removes your account and progress from our servers. An active subscription must be cancelled separately in your App Store or Google Play settings.
• Access, correct or export your data by writing to support@ysylabs.com.
• If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Kinword is made for families. Children under 13 (or the age your country requires) should use it with a parent's permission. We do not knowingly collect more than the progress data above from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
